Wind is a terrific renewable energy source -- as long as the sun is shining, there will be wind! And as long as there is wind, there is energy. The Wind Energy Living Laboratory provides you with access to a tremendous amount of wind data collected throughout the United States, and probably for a town near you. You can use this site to explore the potential for wind energy anywhere in the U.S.
Fastracks Living Lab
Transportation is essential to our everyday lives, yet few people consider how much effort it takes to develop an efficient public transportation system. In the FasTracks Living Lab, students will be responsible for analyzing a light rail system that is simulated on their computer and suggesting improvements that will make the system more effective at meeting its design criteria.
